Castle to Castle endurance adventure tries out for a new borough!
We shall wander the length of Bedford Avenue – the longest street in Brooklyn – from its humble beginnings in the depth of Sheepshead Bay to its glitzy end in Greenpoint!

Join me on this walk and experience Brooklyn in all its diverse, multicultural glory!

For those who are joining a Castle to Castle for the first time, please read through the following.
Castle to Castle brand of adventures, with yours truly, are not quite a tour; they are an endurance walk with some whimsical tour elements. This current version will be a paltry 10 miles long (we have done as much as 19 in past adventures), but we shall encounter some of the most interesting, crowded and buzzy parts of Brooklyn.
As is traditional, you do not have to join for the whole thing. Before our adventure commences there will be a very convenient map where all the stops will be clearly marked in order of their appearance on the tour. Also, on the day of, there will be a live tracker so you can catch up to us on any point of our journey (think of it as a Hop-On Hop-Off bus, just without the wheels).
We will be starting our tour on the corner of Emmons Ave and Bedford Ave and will largely keep to the Bedford Ave for the duration, except for a few detours to points of interest and a walk along Prospect Park, because it is prettier that way.
There will be a stop for lunch (with a later 11am start, it will probably be around 3-4pm mark) and kids are welcome (provided they can handle walking for x number of hours).
The tour takes place through areas of great urban density – expect to be dodging pedestrians, tourists, bicycles, TLC and occasional unspecified puddle. I will be wearing my brightest color so just follow as best you can and keep an eye on the map and the tracker!
